Travel without flying is our favorite way. One could be surprised how far you can get in just 24 hours. We traveled all the way to Glasgow and after staying there for a bit continued our tour around Scotland. We used trains, ferries and busses, visited the Isle of skye and had a river walk in Inverness, before starting our return journey from edinburgh. We took the Ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam and the ICE back to Switzerland. We enjoyed this trip very much and no, it didn't even rain that often!
